Medium Dog Weight Chart by Age

This medium breed puppy growth chart covers dogs whose adult weight lands between 24 and 51 lb (11–23 kg). Use it when you know roughly how big your puppy will get but not the breed — a mixed breed, or a breed without its own chart here yet. The curve comes from veterinary records of millions of young dogs, grouped by adult size rather than by breed.

When to use a breed chart instead

If you know the breed, go to its page. The class chart above has to cover every medium breed at once, so its range is wide by necessity; a breed page scales the same curve to that breed’s own adult weight range from the American Kennel Club standard and splits it by sex, which typically halves the range. Use this page when the breed is unknown or mixed, and the breed page when it is not.
