PupTimeline is an independent website with two tools: a puppy weight calculator that estimates a puppy’s adult weight from its age and current weight, and a dog pregnancy calculator that gives a whelping window from a mating or ovulation date. Around them sit breed weight charts, size-class charts and a small number of guides.
The site exists because the numbers on most puppy weight charts cannot be traced to anything. PupTimeline’s can, and where a number is uncertain the page says so.
Who is behind PupTimeline
PupTimeline is published by one independent publisher and is not a veterinary practice, a breeder or a pet-food company. Nobody on the site holds themselves out as a veterinarian, and nothing on it is veterinary advice.
The site is deliberately unsigned. Its claim to be trusted rests on the sources shown next to every figure and on the method being published in full, not on a name. If a number here cannot be checked against its source, that is a fault to report, not a matter of trust.
What PupTimeline does differently
Every number on the site is cited near where it appears, not in a footer. Adult weights come from the American Kennel Club breed standard for each breed; growth curves come from a peer-reviewed study of 8.5 million veterinary bodyweight records and its open dataset; breed-specific facts come from named peer-reviewed papers.
Uncertainty is disclosed rather than smoothed over. The medium size class is interpolated because the source records contain no breeds of that adult size, the giant class is the site’s own calculation because the source study could not model dogs over 40 kg, and where measured pet dogs run heavier than their breed standard the breed page says so beside the table.
The derived growth table, the filtering steps and a CSV are published on the growth data page so the arithmetic can be reproduced. The full list of sources is on the sources page, and the rules the site writes to are on the editorial policy page.
What PupTimeline does not do
The site does not give feeding advice, medication doses, or guidance on symptoms and illness. Those questions need a veterinarian who can see the dog, and an anonymous website is the wrong place to look for them.
The site carries no advertising, no affiliate links and no sponsored content. It sells nothing and recommends no products. Whether that changes in future, the editorial policy page will say so.
